Great Guyandotte River Regatta and Float Planned
The Guyandotte Water Trail Alliance and the National Coal Heritage Area Authority invite local residents to fill the Guyandotte River with kayaks and canoes and join in on the Great Guyandotte River Regatta and Float to be held at five separate locations along the Guyandotte River on July 14, 2018. Registration will begin at all locations at 8AM and kayakers and canoers will hit the water at 10AM. Each float will last for approximately two hours with some sites providing additional activities in addition to the river float. Rain/ high water dates for the event are July 21 and July 28.
This fun, family float is being sponsored at each location by a community organization with administrative and financial support being provided by the National Coal Heritage Area Authority.
